This notice explains how PayAfterTaxes handles information when you use payaftertaxes.com or contact its operator. It covers the current website, which has no live advertising or visitor-tracking scripts.
Salary and calculator choices
Your salary and calculated results are processed in your browser’s memory. The calculator does not send them to our operator, Cloudflare, Google or an advertising service, or put them in URLs, cookies, browser storage, analytics events or error reports. There is no account, login or salary database.
Reloading the page or changing country or income year clears the salary field and results. The country and year you visit are visible in the page address and may therefore appear in hosting request data. A selected US state or New Zealand credit-month count stays in the calculator’s browser memory; it is not added to the address or sent in a request. Your country is selected by you rather than inferred from your location.
Hosting and technical information
The public website is hosted through Cloudflare Workers Static Assets. Loading a page necessarily sends technical information to Cloudflare, such as your IP address, the requested page or asset, request time, and browser or connection information. Cloudflare processes technical and security data to deliver the website, manage its network and protect against abuse. This is separate from the salary you type, which is not sent with these requests.
Cloudflare Web Analytics, Workers Logs and Logpush are not enabled for this website. This does not stop Cloudflare from processing the technical information needed to deliver and secure its services.
Technical records may be available to the operator through Cloudflare’s service dashboards. Provider-held data is subject to the applicable service configuration, contractual terms and retention policies; this notice does not promise a single deletion period for all Cloudflare records. Cloudflare operates a global network, so technical information may be processed outside your country. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy for its data-handling practices.
Cookies, storage and search reports
The calculator itself sets no cookies and does not save information in local storage or session storage. It loads no advertising tags, analytics tags, tracking pixels, session replay, remote fonts or embedded third-party content.
Cloudflare may use security cookies when its protection features require them, for example to remember that a browser passed a security challenge. These are hosting-security functions, not cookies used by the calculator to remember your salary. See Cloudflare’s cookie documentation.
The operator uses Google Search Console reports to understand how the website appears in Google Search, including reported search queries, impressions and clicks. Search Console is not a tracking script installed in the calculator, and the website does not send your salary or results to it.
If you email us
The website has no contact form. If you use the email address on our Contact & corrections page, the operator receives your email address, message and anything you choose to attach. Our contact mailbox is hosted by Google Gmail. Email is handled outside the calculator through Gmail and your own email provider. See Google’s privacy policy for its data-handling practices.
We use correspondence to respond to enquiries, investigate reported calculation errors and handle privacy requests. Please use made-up examples when reporting an error. Do not send your actual salary, payslip, tax identification number, bank details or other sensitive financial information. Salary details that you voluntarily email are part of that email and are not covered by the calculator’s on-device-only processing.
How long information is kept
Salary input and results are not retained by the operator or saved by the calculator. They exist only in the open page’s memory until cleared. Contact correspondence is kept as needed to handle the enquiry, investigate and follow up on reported errors, maintain necessary correction records, and meet applicable legal obligations. You can ask us to delete your correspondence using the contact details below.
Cloudflare and Gmail may retain service records or backup copies under their applicable terms and policies, including where needed for security or legal obligations. Provider processing may take place outside your country. We do not promise that deleting an email immediately removes every provider-held copy.
Links to other websites
Our source links take you to tax authorities and other external websites. If you follow one, that website receives its own visit and applies its own privacy practices. We do not append your salary or calculator results to those links.
Advertising and future changes
We intend to fund the website through Google AdSense, but ads are currently disabled and no AdSense advertising code is loaded. We do not sell calculator salary data.
Before introducing advertising or visitor analytics, we will update this notice to explain the providers, information involved, storage and available choices, and put the required consent controls in place. Salary input and results will remain excluded from advertising and analytics data. The update date above identifies the current notice.
Privacy questions and requests
Depending on the law that applies to you, you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal information, object to or restrict its use, or complain to a data-protection authority. To ask about information held by the operator or request deletion of contact correspondence, email payaftertaxes@gmail.com. We may need to confirm that a request concerns your own information. Some records may need to be retained to meet legal obligations.
We cannot retrieve salary values you entered into the calculator because they were not collected by us. You can clear them by reloading the page.
