Includes income tax after the single personal and employee credits, USC and employee PRSI. PRSI models 52 equal weekly earnings, with 39 weeks at the January–September rate and 13 at the October–December rate. Actual payslips depend on payment dates and pay frequency. Your 2025 calculation

2025 salary tax slabs
Annual taxable income in EUR. These are income-tax bands before the single personal and employee tax credits. Each rate applies only to the income within its band.
| Annual income band | Rate |
|---|---|
| Up to EUR 44,000 | 20% |
| Above EUR 44,000 | 40% |
USC, PRSI and your tax credits
The single personal credit is EUR 2,000. The employee credit is up to EUR 2,000, limited to 20% of qualifying salary. Neither credit refunds tax that you do not owe.
USC is zero at annual income of EUR 13,000 or less. Above that point, the following bands apply to the full income, so the exemption creates a jump in deductions.
| USC income band | Rate |
|---|---|
| Up to EUR 12,012 | 0.5% |
| Above EUR 12,012 to EUR 27,382 | 2% |
| Above EUR 27,382 to EUR 70,044 | 3% |
| Above EUR 70,044 | 8% |
Employee PRSI is 4.1% through September and 4.2% from October. Weekly earnings up to EUR 352 pay no employee PRSI. Between EUR 352 and EUR 424 a EUR 12 credit tapers by one sixth of earnings above EUR 352. Our annual model uses 52 equal weeks split 39/13; it is not a pay-date payroll calculation. Pension and auto-enrolment deductions are excluded.
